Lake District

Hey, I am back!

It's been a couple of busy weeks once again, I went for a work/study trip
to Lake District & Manchester, straight after that I went on a business trip
to Norway, so not much time to write so to say..

But here I am now after a few weeks of absence, to firstly share my
experience of Lake District.

We took the train from London to Oxenholme Station, where we
jumped on a minibus for a tour of Lake Windermere and surroundings.
This place is beautiful, sometimes you forget when living in London,
that there are so many beautiful places in UK and so much amazing nature.
This was my first time in Lake District, and I truly loved it, for the nature,
for the fresh air and for the tranquillity!

We had a really good driver guide, that has been doing these tours for years,
it felt really special to hear the stories from him, as he is a local himself.
It felt so much more real then being on a public tour with just any other guide..

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday - the weather was great and I had a lovely day.

I went for a blowdry in the morning to get my hair done, the hair feels
so soft and nice afterwards, I can really get used to getting blowdry's regularly..

I later met up with my friend in Knightsbridge and we went for lunch
at Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, a really nice place with good
food, they serve a mix of French and American style food, they are famous
for their burgers, so I had a burger of course ;) it was really good, we also
tried a really special cocktail, KOKO ALFONSO, a mix of koko kanu,
mango puree, apricot liqueur and lime, what was so special about it was
that it was served in a big ice ball, you have like 20 min to drink up
as otherwise it will start melting and end up on the plate under.
I think it added to the excitment that it was a "limited availability" cocktail lol ;)

After dinner, we had shopping on our mind, so we started at Harvey Nics
and walked our way down Brompton Road to Harrods, I even managed to
get a quick peek in H&M and walked out with a dress :)
I had fun doing what I enjoy the most, we were browsing for the new
season so to say, there are so many nice things, I can hardly wait for
winter, haha, even if I love summer more!

It's almost here

Roland Mouret X Banana Republic will be in stores and online from 7 August!

If you signed up to the newsletter - the collection is already available to
purchase online right now, after having a first look, I feel quite disappointed
that none of the dresses has the Roland Mouret signature zip at the back
which goes all the way down to the hem..

But one positive thing is that they have regular sizes as well as petite
sizes, for those shorter ladies, I love shops that do petite, after all everybody
is not as tall as the fashion model's ;)

I think I wont purchase anything from the collection, it just becomes
like any other dress this way, it's nothing significant about it anymore,
I was hoping for the zip, which makes any dress stand out that little bit more..

This is a Roland Mouret signature dress - with the zip all the way down

Executive Box

On Saturday I had a great day out - we went to Emirates Stadium to watch
The Emirates Cup games between Valencia/Monaco & Arsenal/Benfica with
my work colleagues and some suppliers, it really added to the experience
knowing that the game was sold out ;)

We were in a Executive Box and it was a great atmosphere -
we had so much fun!

The box experience is always a good idea - you have the box for yourself
and your company, great views and food/catering :), what I like about the
box is that you can be inside or outside watching the game, it's always
good to have the option and to be able to go inside if it get's cold, but of
course the atmosphere is better when watching the game outside the box.
There is even a toilet in the room and chairs/sofas, it's quite luxurious,
I feel happy I got the opportunity to try this experience :)
